BOARDING CONTRACT

GENERAL: KJ KENNELS Dog Boarding agrees to provide due and reasonable care for the pet, and to keep its premises sanitary and properly enclosed. Owner specifically represents that he or she is the sole owner of the pet, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances and that the pet has not been exposed to distemper, parvo, rabies or kennel cough within the last 30 days. Owner states pet is up to date on all vaccinations and agrees to provide records stating such at the time of Check-in. 

 

VACCINATIONS/HEALTH: All animals must be current on vaccines for Rabies and DHLPP. The owner must provide to KJ KENNELS Dog Boarding the veterinarian records on paper for these vaccines at the time of Check-in. All animals accepted for boarding must be free of fleas and ticks; Owner will be charged a $50 fee for any animal that is dropped off with parasites. Owner hereby represents that this pet has not been exposed to Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, or Parvo within the last 30 days. If the animal becomes ill, the Owner shall be notified at once if possible, or such attempt having been made to notify Owner and Owner does not immediately inform the Kennel regarding measures to be taken or if the state of the animal’s health requires quick action, the right to call a Veterinarian or to administer medicine or to give advisable attention within the discretion of KJ KENNELS shall be taken for granted by the Kennel and such expenses being reasonable in amount shall be promptly paid by the Owner, in addition to boarding fees, at the time of check-out.

PAYMENT: Owner agrees to pay the rate for boarding that is in effect on the date pet[s] is checked into the Kennel, due at the time of check out with the exception of Long Term Boarding rates due in advance. Owner further agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested and all Veterinary costs for the pet[s] during the time said pet is in the care of the Kennel. At any time, should balance exceed $300, payment will be made immediately unless prior arrangements have been made. 

 

ABANDONMENT: Any pet that is not called for within five (5) days of the scheduled pickup time AND the owner or owner’s agent does not notify our kennel of extended boarding, shall be deemed abandoned. We shall re-home pets that are abandoned publicly, privately, or otherwise. Our kennel shall have, and is hereby granted, a lien on the pet for any and all unpaid charges and the owner or agent shall remain liable for complete boarding fees as well as other charges incurred with regard to care, maintenance, removal / placement of said dog/cat as well as any and all costs involved with notifications and collection processes. Our kennel may exercise its lien rights upon the first day of abandonment. The owner specifically waives all statutory or legal rights to the contrary. 

 

LIABILITY: Due to insurance restrictions and for the health and safety of our Guests, NO ONE IS ALLOWED to handle any Guest Pet unless accompanied by a KJ KENNELS representative. NO ONE IS ALLOWED to feed or treat any Guest Pet other than their own. Owner willingly accepts responsibility for anyone accompanying Owner at time of Check-in and / or Drop-off. Owner responsibility extends to adults, children and any other pets.  Owner is solely responsible for any property damage or bodily injury inflicted by their boarded animal. KJ KENNELS Dog Boarding cannot guarantee against accidents. Further, we will not be liable for loss or damage to pet belongings.
